چکیده
Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is still causing disastrous effects in various parts of the world through recurring waves. Real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR)-negative COVID-19 particularly challenging as these patients are less likely to receive treatment and more progress severe disease. Thus, it imperative find markers that can predict severity at an early stage. The objective present study was analyze association ferritin levels with RT-PCR-negative patients. Methods: A prospective cross-sectional analytical conducted adults pneumonia a negative RT-PCR test from October 2020 September 2021. Hematologic, biochemical, inflammatory parameters were investigated within 24 h hospitalization. Demographic, clinical, laboratory findings compared between without Results: total 220 included. mean age participants 47.3 ± 14.2 years, 55.5% (n=122) male. C-reactive protein, D-dimer, significantly higher (p<0.01). Receiver operating characteristic curve analyses performed, found significant predictor (area under curve=0.642, p<0.001). Conclusion: Early analysis patients, irrespective status.

Background and Aims: Accurate and rapid diagnosis is necessary for effective control and prevention of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD). In present study, was evaluated real time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (rRT-PCR) assay along with diagnostic routine methods for the detection of all seven serotypes of FMD virus (FMDV), namely O, C, A, SAT1, 2, 3 and Asia 1 in biological sample...
متن کاملPitfalls of quantitative real-time reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction.
Polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based assays can target either DNA (the genome) or RNA (the transcriptome). Targeting the genome generates robust data that are informative and, most importantly, generally applicable. This is because the information contained within the genome is context-independent; i.e., generally, every normal cell contains the same DNA sequence--the same mutations and polymo...

متن کاملDevelopment and Evaluation of Real-Time Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction Test for Quantitative and Qualitative Recognition of H5 Subtype of Avian Influenza Viruses
Avian influenza viruses (AIV) affect a wide range of birds and mammals, cause severe economic damage to the poultry industry, and pose a serious threat to humans. Highly pathogenic avian influenza viruses (HPAI) H5N1 were first identified in Southeast Asia in 1996 and spread to four continents over the following years. The viruses have caused high mortality in chickens and various bird species ...
